CALL FOR PAPERS

The conference will highlight the vision, methods and policy adjustments needed for ecological economics principles to be applied to the design and management of environmentally and socially sustainable development processes. The conference seeks to build capacity in this area in developing countries in the face of increasing global change and interdependence.

Contributed papers are welcome, according to the following thematic areas. Expanded abstracts must be submitted by April 15, 2008 preferably through the conference website. Abstracts must include:

1) Paper title
2) Thematic area number and title (see below listing)
3) Author, institutional affiliation, country of origin
4) E-mail
5) Abstract (from 500 to 1000 words, including conceptual and methodological approach and a summary of results and implications for ecological economics)

On acceptance, to be announced by May 15, 2008, abstracts will be published to the Conference Proceedings and available for viewing on-line once the presenting author has duly registered for the conference. Full papers must be submitted in either MS Word or PDF format by June 30, 2008.

2) Organizer, institutional affiliation, country of origin

4) Summary describing key issues to be explored, objectives of the proposed session, invited speakers/panelists, and anticipated results including potential follow-up activity.

Due to limited space availability, pre-conference activities (August 7-8) will be more easily accommodated than those scheduled for the conference itself (August 9-11).
