Kevin Urama

Kevin UramaKevin Chika Urama, Ph.D. (Cambridge) is an Environmental and Ecological Economist developing trans-disciplinary and integrated tools for sustainable management of social, economic and ecological systems. He holds the 2002-3 James Claydon Prize for the most outstanding PhD thesis in Economics or related subjects, St. Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge. He is currently the Executive Director of the African Technology Policy Studies Network, ATPS, established in Nairobi Kenya (website: http://www.atpsnet.org), on leave from the Macaulay Institute, Aberdeen UK (website: http://www.macaulay.ac.uk), where he retains his position as a Senior Research Fellow. Dr. Urama is also the Inaugural Acting President of the African Society for Ecological Economics (ASEE), the African chapter of the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE). He holds many distinctive prizes and awards for academic excellence and good leadership and has over 50 publications in various media, including international journals such as Land Economics, Ecological Economics, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Agricultural Economics, International Journal of Sustainable Development, etc.
